Blues and Solos
If you want to try something completely new, then begin by learning this Minor Pentatonic Scale shape. In Debut Grade, we played the lower part of this scale: 03 02 02. As it moves along the neck to new positions this now has to become 14 13 13 - can you see why? It's like a capo is moving up the neck with you. Memorise the full Minor Pentatonic Scale: 14 13 13 13 14 14.
